Enoch Colby was born on 7 November 1702 in Amesbury. [VRAB] He married Abigail Sanborn on 16 December 1725. [VCS1]

Abigail Sanborn was born on 22 July 1700. [VCS1]

Enoch's father-in-law Benjamin Sanborn gave him half of his right in Chester and the house on thie right. [HO5]

Abigail's father refered to his daughter as Abigail Colby in his will of October 1740. [VCS1]

Enoch was a surveyor of highways and fence viewer in Chester in 1730. He was a selectman in 1731. He was a tythingman in 1734. [HO1]

Enoch was one of three empowered to call the first meeting of the Congretional Church. A warning to call this meeting is dated 27 August 1740. [HO3]

Enoch was an ensign in Chester in 1749. [HO2]

i. Enoch Colby married Abigail Blaisdell.

ii. Sarah Colby died on 30 May 1810. [HOC] She married William Turner.

iii. Dorothy Colby was born on 5 January 1730. [HOC] She died don 15 August 1816. [HOC] She married first David Worthen. [HOC] She married second Jacob Chase. [HOC]

iv. Jethro Colby was born on 8 May 1733. [HOC] He died on 4 April 1803. [HOC] He married Elizabeth, the daughter of Samuel Bartlett, on 1 November 1756. [HOC] She died on 13 July 1778. [HOC] He married second Nannie Moulton. [HOC] She died in 1793. [HOC]

v. Susanna Colby was born on 22 August 1735. [HOC]

vi. Abiel Colby was born on 10 July 1741. [HOC]

vii. Abigail Colby was born on 10 December 1749. [HOC] She married James Towle of Hawke. [HOC]

viiii. Mary Colby was born on 9 November 1756. [HOC] She married Benjamin Long. [HOC]

Benjamin and Mary went to to Schenectady, New York. [HOC]

ix. Elizabeth Colby was born on 9 June 1758. [HOC] She married John Wilson. [HOC]

x. Judith Colby was born on 27 August 1760. [HOC] She married Joseph Long. [HOC]
